Dance Pull Company and The Performance Laboratory Inc. come together with The Negros Museum to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of our national hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal with BALLET PHILIPPINES' (BP) original dance production Crisostomo Ibarra to be staged at the Colegio San Agustin - Bacolod Gym on July 25, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. (Matinee) and 6:00 P.M. (Gala). Crisostomo Ibarra is a nominee for Outstanding Dance Production and Outstanding Ensemble Performance in the upcoming 2010 Gawad Buhay Awards for the Performing Arts.

Crisostomo Ibarra on with a grant from the National Commission on Culture and the Arts is a contemporary ballet performance, choreographed by BP Artistic Director Paul Alexander Morales, with original music by Jed Balsamo, captures the journey of Rizal's protagonist in his revolutionary novel Noli Me Tangere, from aristocratic idealist to revolutionary pragmatist. Ibarra's awakening is told in dance vignettes that show scenes from the novel-events that spur him to change.

Dance Pull Company and The Performance Laboratory Inc. will bring the prestigious ballet company in Negros for a rare performance and a more rare opportunity as artists to help the Negros Museum.

Crisostomo Ibarra is ideal for Philippine History, Rizal and Humanities classes as an alternative form of teaching history and art appreciation by taking students out of the classroom and exposing them to an artistic experience.

Negros Museum will accept ticket reservations for bulk order until June 30.

Tickets with prices Php 1000, 500, 300 and 100 will be available at the Negros Museum on July 1, 2011 with special 30% discount for students with valid School ID.
