The Kadayawan Agri-Trade Fair turns into one big garden of ornamentals, flowering plants, orchids and fruit trees. The King of Flowers, Waling-waling, lords it over all the flowers with spikes upon spikes of blooms in the midst of a myriad of colors of orchids.
The different species of flowers with its rainbow of colors compete with the heady smell of the orchids adding yet another sense into the fray. So are the leaves of variegated ornamental plants and bromeliads with tints of red, pink, white, yellow, purple and different hues of green.
It is not just a feast for the eyes but of smell.
Even the harvest of Kadayawan fruits like durian, marang and pomelo adds a different feast to the senses.
This time, that of taste.
Kadayawan truly is a harvest of nature’s bounty and a feast for the senses.
