Engage. Enhance. Empower.

This vision embodies the annually held Eastern Visayas Leadership Student Council Leadership Conference with an aim to build young leaders all over the region.

The EVSC Leadership Conference or better known as LeadCon is an annual 3-day gathering of Student C2011-09-24ouncil leaders all over Eastern Visayas while equipping them with leadership lessons and activities worth learning and sharing in their own respective societies.

Once, the LeadCon was only a vision aspired by its young and enthusiastic organizers inside a wooden office without even enough amenities such as a comfort room, chairs, or workplace for its staff. Their outstanding visions have overcome the tests of time as the event has finally reached its 6th year.

Most of all, the organizers of the event haven’t even foreseen from the beginning that they can possibly invite the likes of Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala, one of the most sought after conference speaker, Chairman and CEO of Ayala Corp, and currently the third richest Filipino in the country, to be their keynote speaker during the opening ceremonies of the recently held 6th LeadCon at LNU Gymnasium last September 1, 2011. Not only Ayala but they had also persuaded other remarkable leaders to take part in encouraging young leaders in the region. They just perform their dreams at their hearts desire.

Impressed by its boldness, the Ayala Team decided to partner and support the LeadCon of its future advocacies. They are now in partnership with its organizers known as the Sinirangan Bisayas Youth Organization (SBYO).

The event is a good example of an initiative towards nation building and most of all it is also a living examples of how “real leaders walk the talk.”

Today, many young people in the region are inspired to take part in different leadership activities and apply what they are learning from the event.

We are looking forward for its 7th year in the region and its 1st year with the Team Ayala...the event has proven its worth and earned the team’s trust.
