OKB-GAYON BICOL 2011 NOW ON ITS 15TH YEAR



 



DTI - Region V, Legazpi City   -  Now  on its 15th year, the longest running regional trade fair in the Philippines, joins the world in promoting green trade. 



                                                                



With the theme, “GREEN! Naturally, Responsibly, Sustainably,” the OKB-GAYON BICOL 2011 will showcase products that are made of  indigenous and organic materials.  Long before the world started going green, the Bicol MSMEs and tourism have been naturally pro-environment and promotes eco-tourism for sustainable industry.



 



For this year, we have a total of ninety-six (96) MSME exhibitors.  Nineteen (19) are new and seventy-seven (77) are old.  These new participants will now be given full marketing assistance by DTI via this trade fair. The Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) beneficiaries being assisted by DTI have also joined with one booth per province or a total of six booths.  Wearables, Processed Food, Housewares, Furnitures and Health & Wellness will be showcased during the fair.



 



OKB-Gayon Bicol has become an annual marketing and cultural event which, through the years has provided opportunities for our homegrown entrepreneurs to develop, find new markets and become more competitive.



 



To be held on October 6-9, 2011, at Megatrade Hall 2, 5th Level, Bldg. B, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City, the OKB-Gayon Bicol 2011 is a showcase of public-private partnership.  DTI’s partners and sponsors are Department of Tourism Region V (DOT-V), PhilExport, OK Bikol Foundation, Inc.
