The 34th Hinugyaw Festival and the 244th Founding Anniversary of the Municipality of Hinigaran, Negros Occidental is on April 23-30, 2012.

This year's theme is "Kauswagan kag Buasdamlag sang Banwa, Katundanan Ta"

"Hinugyaw" is a local dialect that mean rejoice or revelry.

The festival is a weeklong celebration which culminates with a grand parade and streetdancing performers with their colorful costumes.

It is an annual thanksgiving festival that the people of Hinigaran celebrates.
