Another salad that deserves a space on our tables for Noche Buena is Buko Salad.



Preparing this salad is same way like our fruit salad. Buko Salad is a Filipino dessert that makes use of shredded young coconut as the main ingredient.




Buko Salad



Ingredients
• 4 cups young coconut (buko), shredded
• 6 ounces kaong, drained
• 12 ounces nata de coco, drained
• 2 cans (15 ounces each) fruit cocktail, drained
• 8 ounces pineapple chunks, drained
• 1 can (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
• 7 ounces table cream (or all purpose cream)



Procedure
1. Combine young coconut, kaong, nata de coco, pineapple chunks and fruit cocktail in a mixing bowl.
2. Add sweetened condensed milk and cream. Mix.
3. OPTIONAL: you can also add raisins, cheese, seedless grapes and other fruits.
4. Refrigerate or place in freezer for at least an hour.
5. Place in serving bowl. Serve. Enjoy.



This recipe can serve around 6 pax.
