A strudel is a type of layered pastry, most often with sweet-filling. It is usually served with cream.
Here's a different strudel, it is made with vegetables.
Vegetable Strudel
Ingredients
• Squash
• Eggplant
• Carrots
• Baguio beans
• Taugi
• Ampalaya
• Cucumber
• Mushroom
• Garlic
• Onion
• Shrimp
• Cheese
• Butter or Margarine
• Onion leaves
• Lumpia wrapper
• Nestle Cream
• Salt and Pepper
Procedure
1. Wash vegetables and slice in same sizes.
2. Sauté squash, eggplant, carrots, baguio beans, taugi, ampalaya, cucumber, mushroom, garlic and onion.
3. Pour in half of the cream to the veggies.
4. Add salt and pepper to taste. Set aside to let it cool.
5. For the sauce: sauté garlic, pour cream, then place some shredded cheese and onion leaves.
6. Wrap the sautéed vegetables with lumpia wrapper.
7. Toast for about 4 minutes.
8. Spread with sauce before serving.
The recipe is good for about 10 servings.
