The call for all durianburg citizens was too strong… durianburgers just got to have durian!
Even with the rain, people from all walks of life, flocked to Tagum City to feast on the fruit that smells like hell but tastes like heaven in its Durian Festival.
Variety upon variety of durian was laid out in stalls at the Rotary Park.  Vendors would let you choose, smell, and even bargain.  The price of Php 60-80 (US$1.40-1.86) per kilo did not stop anyone from enjoying the durian.
For those who stirred away from the fresh fruit, processed and baked goods were available like durian hopia, durian roll, muffins and bread, durian tart, ice cream and jam.
The feast is still on until September 25, 2011.  So grab your fill of durian now!
