Pork soup bones with lots of meat are boiled with salt and pepper until tender or until the meat falls out of the bone. Onions, garlic and ginger are added before the meat gets too tender to add more flavors. Potatoes and gabi (taro) are also added. Some would also add ripe saba (cooking bananas) to add a little sweetness to the soup. Pechay or cabbage is added on
ly minutes before the dish is served.
