On a recent visit to Mt. Apo Highland Resort in Kapatagan, Davao del Sur, the resort’s chef, Kuya Toilo, treated this writer to one Triple Filipino Snack Treat.
How to prepare: Bananas are boiled then sliced, set aside. Use the cooking bananas or saba. Jackfruit is sliced into strips, cooked with a little sugar until tender. Buko strips are also cooked with a little sugar until tender then combine with the jackfruit.
Arrange the boiled bananas like a bed for the langka and buko strips then pour caramelized sugar on top.
Easy to prepare and cook snack using three Filipino favorite fruits in one dish to give one triple treat!
