Asiong’s Carinderia has been around for over 50 years. Sonny Lua the current owner, an interior designer by profession took over the operations of the carinderia when his mom passed away with the sole purpose of preserving the culinary legacy that his parents had built through the years.
Pancit Pusit or Pancit Choko en suTinta, this is one of the delicious arrays of foods in Asiong’sCarinderia. It’s a vermicelli noodle dish cooked in squid ink that can be ordered to-go in bilaos of different sizes by advance order. According to Chef Claude Tayag, this pansit choku en su tinta (a.k.a pansit pusit was used to be eaten only during Lent or at wakes. But now it’s served as daily fare inkarinderias and informal gatherings. This pansit is popular among residents of Cavite’s coastal towns and fishing It is said that the pancit is the specialty of the carinderia. It’s appetizing taste will make you want to order for more.
