In the presscon of BlackBerry 12th Philippine Hobie Challenge last February 28, 2012 held at R.O.X. Boni High Street, Solar Energy Foundation announced their partnership with Philippine Inter-Island Sailing Foundation (PHINSAF).

PHINSAF aims to distribute two hundred and fifty sunTransfer (ST1) solar lanterns throughout Coron, Culion and El Nido in Palawan province.

Stiftung Solarenergie’s mission is to fight poverty in the Philippines by providing all off-grid villages with sustainable access to solar energy.

In the communities where there’s no light, even a single solar lantern makes a world of difference. It provides solar home systems to un-electrified families and connect them to our network for technical and financial support.

In creating community solutions, Stiftung helps rural villages climb the development ladder by co-creating larger systems, such as community computer centers and water pumps, which improve educational, livelihood, and health outcomes.

Through training programs and sharing the best practices,  Stiftung Solarenergie enables people and accelerate the adoption of innovative and environmentally responsible solutions for moving out of poverty.

Solar Energy develops sustainable community. With Solar Energy, studying is made easier for children while parents have longer hours or productivity. Not only that, but each ST1 solar lamp comes with mobile phone chargers, improving connectivity on these remote islands.

Through partner oraganizations such as El Nido Foundation and Cartwheel Foundation, who have had years of experience in the beneficiary communities, StS can ensure that recipients of the solar lamps can receive adequate training and technical support.
