Quezon Province, an agricultural province south of Metro Manila, is mystical, vibrant and a place of limitless wonders to name a few. Boasting of vast landscapes and undiscovered islands, it is a treasure waiting to be discovered.
Rich with natural wonders like the otherworldly Mt Banahaw to the underrated Polilio islands, Quezon offers adventure, excitement and an escape to the travelers. Scattered around the province are eleven protected areas by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. This goes to show that the province is carefully preserved and cared for by the people and the government to its pristine state.
For the adventurer at heart, various activities are offered here. Rock climbing in Atimonan, mountain climbing at the spiritual Mt. Banahaw and long board racing at the famous “Bitukang Manok” road will surely bring out the daredevil in you.
Quezon is also well known for its heritage and history. The streets are still lined up with old houses and churches that dates back to centuries. Well preserved and protected , these heritage sites are famous tourist attractions to city dwellers who are given a glimpse of the past.
Festivals and thanksgivings are celebrated in the province throughout the year. If you happen to visit in the month of May, make sure to join the locals and celebrate their most colorful fiesta, the Pahiyas festival! Lavishly decorated houses and fervent prayers of thanksgiving surrounds the province at this time of the year.
One thing that you should never miss out on in Quezon is the food. The popular Pancit Habhab and various pasalubongs like broas, longanisang lucban, etc. are definite must haves and are a must try! For the happy drinker, you must have a shot of Lambanog, our very own version of vodka made out of coconut nectars.
A two-three hour drive to the south is definitely worth it for a quick escape to beautiful Quezon Province. Fill your tummy with delicious food and fill your spirit with culture and relaxation in this historic province. Discover what a wonder Quezon is, and uncover its beauty that is waiting to be seen.

By Bus/public transportation
From Manila, take the Lucena, Quezon bound bus.
Regular commercial buses ply the three-hour Manila-Lucena route. Bus terminals are located along EDSA-Kamuning in Quezon City, Araneta Center in Cubao, Buendia-Taft Avenues and EDSA in Pasay City.
On Private Car
via South Luzon Expressway
From Manila, take the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and take the Calamba exit. Pass through the towns of Calamba, Los Baños, Bay, Victoria, Pila, Sta Cruz, Pagsanjan, Cavinti, Luisiana and then to the Province of Quezon.
